can

This is the first political drink ever made into the world. It has great value and a great message. The label design is very patriotic and let's the consumer know what their drinking. I used the mapping tool to make sure the lable fit on the can. I'm very happy with how the can turned out. I'm sure this drink will sell like Repbuli-Can.

Short projects

Maya Short Projects

This is my hammer. This hammer has defeated me more then once, but after a long hard battle i finally made it look like a hammer. I had to fight the cut faces tool and the vertex. The nail puller part of the hammer took me the longest time. I just couldn't get it to curve the way i wanted to. I didn't learn how to move the vertexes i had to beat every vertex into place, and after along time it finally happened the nail puller curved. Now i feel like i can do this pretty fast since now i know how to work the extrude tool. Even though this was hard i feel pride in being able to do it and not giving up.

This is my polything. It is a sphere that was made using four cylinders and differenceing them.  This was the first time i had to light anything and found out i hate lights they make me so mad. During the process i had huge problems with the shadow. If i could do this aging i would make it so the shadow was way better. For some reason it just didn't appear as it should. I think it is because the object is too thick. There was also  a problem with the third light taking away the shadow completely. . I did learn about lights even if they didn't agree with me at first, but since the creation of the polything i have learned to get along with the lights.

This is the Ice cream project. It pushed my molding skills to the limit. I had to make and texture the ice cream and make it look right. The lazy sally screwed everything. The ice cream texture freaked out when it spun around. I had to group the texture to fix it. In the end the ice cream worked out and turned out looking good.

This is the bounce project. I dropped three balls and used science to make them look realistic. I used key frames and them spent a lot of time moving them up and down. The golf ball looks a little strange towards the end, but everything else turned out all right and since was the first thing I animated in maya i'm pretty proud of it

This is the cup project. I used nurbs it make them. It was a struggle it make the cups because it was hard to make the line and then you the revolution tool to make the full cup. You can see where I messed up a little. On the first cup the bottom is a little to big and makes the cup look strange.
This is the salt shaker. I used the loft tool to make it. I created a frame for the shaker and then the loft tool let me add the faces to the frame. The top was created by cylinders to make the holes for the salt to come out. Then i made a perfect glass texture and added the salt by duplicating the shape making it  smaller then putting a salt texture on it. Then I lit it to make to look pretty.
This is my snowflakes. They are beautiful thought the window. I used movement and rotation to make the snow fall they then had three of the snowflakes repeat itself. They snowflakes had a cool ice texture, but i had to take it off since the lights made the window look blue. I also had to render twice because i left shadows on for the forest one, but in the end it all turned out great.

This is my castle with four towers and four walls. The walls and towers are copies of each other. This didn't have really any pre-planing, but while i was making it i decided that it needed to have a flag and a landscape. I stared with making the towers and then the walls. The towers were made using two cylinder and using difference to shape the tower. I don't think i would do any thing different if i had to do it aging. It's is perfect the way it is. The only real problem i had with this was with the bump mapping looking really wried sometimes.

Story

Spy Guy

This is the story of Spy Guy the greatest spy in the world and his journey to get the legendary briefcase.  Using animation techniques to tell his story. The idea of this came from the face that my pervious character (Bob the blob) was really bad. So i came with Spy guy. Then the ideas came with me writing the story board. Some things i learned was how to stop and animation and start is aging. This was applied with the wheels on the car and Spy Guy sitting down.

If i could do this project aging i would separated all the scenes into different composers because made all the scenes into one timeline and it was very confusing. I would however leave most of the animation in because i really like how it turned out. I will make sure to have better timeline management in future projects. Even with the little errors here and there i'm really proud of it.

This is a destroyed city that has been abandoned. I learned a lot about making thing look cracked or broken. I used the create shape tool to make all the holes. I also learned how to darken the background and make it look more life like. The animation was petty easy since i made the back layers shorter then the other given me a clear point on where to stop.

My character is Bob the blob. He is a blue blob wearing goggles. I desigined him because I didn't  what to make a robot. I wanted my character to be unique.

I did run in to some problems because i'm not very good at drawing free handed. So I had to to make sure i didn't draw anything to complex. There were also some keyframe issues. My character started to skip and it looked like he was hovering, but do to my skill I fixed it. I made the legs move in a "D" pattern to make it look clean.

I learned how to line up keyframe correctly. I learned how to created a composition within a composition, and I learned how to put my character together. A issue I ran into trying to get my character to walk was the keyframes. I didn't line them up right and it made my character to float in the air. If i could change one thing I would have liked to use the background I used in version 3 of the animation. Sadly the portions weren't right, and him I scaled my down he moved to fast. I love this animation I feel like I did a really good job.

Some things i could do better is fix the head so it doesn't take away from the walk cycle. I did however do a really good walk cycle with almost no sliding.

The ball animation was simple enough. I learned how to use aftereffects tools like ease in. I did have a problem once though when the animation lines wound't show up, but i was able to fix it. I also had problems with file naming where it would get a different file then what i wanted, but by changing the file name I fix that. I really liked how it turned out and i think it's a good animation.
